    oNE-PIECE (nO SCREWHOLE) STYLE
    One-Piece vs. Two-Piece Grips
: Many people prefer the clean lines of a grip without a screwhole (One-Piece), while others prefer the look and convenience of a Two-Piece grip (with a screw), which is easier to remove for cleaning or maintenance.  Both styles were originally made by Colt in the 1800’s, and both are historically correct.  Whichever style you choose really depends on the look you are after.  We manufacture both styles.
    Note:
    ANY
    of our grips, whether ONE-PIECE
    OR
TWO PIECE style, will interchange and work on either style of grip frame.
THIS AUCTION IS FOR THE ONE-PIECE (NO SCREWHOLE) STYLE.
One-Piece grips use a spacer (user installed) between the panels instead of a screw, which results in a rock-tight fit.  Our Two-Piece grips on the other hand come with a free Conversion Kit to enable use on your grip frame, without any modification of your revolver.  Full instructions with illustrations are included with each set of grips.  Whichever style you choose, you are guaranteed to get the best quality grips on the market, made to last a lifetime, for your shooting pleasure and enjoyment.

    What these WILL NOT FIT
    :
    1.  Please note that these grips are made to fit
    ONLY
    the
    Uberti
Model 1873 style Single Action revolvers, with the typical “plowhandle” shaped gripframe, and will
    NOT
fit other makes of revolvers (such as Pietta, Armi San Marco, Colt, Ruger, etc.).  These grips will also
    NOT
fit the Bisley, the Birdshead, the Thunderer or the Lightning style revolvers, from ANY maker, which use a completely different shaped grip frame.  Please email if you have any questions.
    2.  In addition, these
    WILL NOT FIT
grip frames which are around 3-3/8” tall.  To make sure you are ordering the correct grip,
please check your grip frame measurement prior to ordering
    .  Y
our grips or grip frame should measure somewhere between
    3-1/16 – 3-1/8”
tall, depending on how you hold your ruler, tape, or caliper.  The important thing is to make sure they are NOT around 3-3/8” tall.
    Taylor & Co.’s
    Gunfighter
    , Cimarron
    Bad Boy
    , the
    El Patron Grizzly Paw
    , and the Uberti
    Callahan
, for example, have the taller 3-3/8” grip frame.   If you have one of these, any of our Uberti 1860 Army Conversion & Metallic Cartridge revolver grips are milled to work for these, as well as the Conversions.
Please send us an email and tell us your specific model if you cannot locate what you need, or if you have any questions.  We are always happy to help.
A note on the Italian-produced Revolvers:
The Italian firms, located in Northern Italy, have been making SAA style revolvers now for well over a half century, and have made a huge number of makes and models and grip frame profiles with varying configurations over the years.  We have an in-depth knowledge of the differing grip configurations, have a large library of gripframe variations from the various makers both old and new, and have vast experience making grips for Uberti, Pietta, Armi San Marco, and the other Italian gunmaking firms.   Our experienced makers go to great lengths to ensure an exacting fit, including utilizing modern precision CNC production techniques, as well as incorporating old-time hand tuning and hand checking the fit of every grip on our reference frames prior to leaving our factory.  We have a long list of many satisfied customers in the shooting industry who have purchased grips to use in a wide variety of applications, and we can safely and confidently guarantee proper fit and finish to your complete satisfaction.
For an additional charge, custom fitting is an option.  Please contact us for further details if you are interested in custom fitting.

    About
    Magna-Tusk™
    Ivory and Stag Grips:
    Magna-Tusk™
Ivory and Stag grips, a product of
    Arizona Custom Grips
, are manufactured out of our high-grade, high density ivory material designed from the beginning as a premium, high-strength grip material.
Vastly superior to standard bonded ivory or stag found on most factory and other aftermarket grips, Magna-Tusk™ is capable of withstanding the heaviest recoil and impact, and is the toughest alternative grip material available today, while still retaining the pristine look of real ivory or stag.  It is rock-solid, stable, and water, chemical, and oil resistant.  It is flame and heat resistant, and is entirely void-free, with over 10x the strength, durability, and impact resistance of alternative materials.  Unlike with real ivory or stag, there is no routine care and maintenance involved, with no danger of it drying out and cracking if not maintained properly or if left in the heat.  It is filled with premium natural compounds to produce outstanding aesthetic properties and mechanical performance.  When aged with our natural aging process, it takes on the equivalent of a 100-year-old patina, with subtle grain details which many experts cannot tell apart from the real thing.  In addition, the material has a fine grain structure, which holds intricate detail for carvings, artistic relief work, etc., found on many historic grips.
