  • Condition: Good Folded Condition. Part of a theater exhibition snipe still attached to the untrimmed top white border. A few bumps, crinkling and small tears in the surrounding borders. Some mild staining / foxing evident on the reverse of the poster that doesn't significantly affect the artwork. Slight overall yellowing of the paper. Originally folded as issued, this poster has been stored flat for 20 years and will be shipped rolled in a sturdy tube.

    Here is a wonderful original Belgian movie poster from the first release of the Elliott Nugent's take on
    The Great Gatsby
    . The second of four filmed adaptations of the classic F. Scott Fitzgerald's novel of mystery, deception and tragedy during the Jazz Age, this version is not as well known as the Redford or Dicaprio entries. This poster is from the original release of the film in Belgium in 1949. It has a few condition issues being a theater used poster, but the artwork is intact and unique to this Belgian release poster. It seldom comes up for sale or auction and would make a great addition to anyone's classic movie poster collection.
