    Description

This is a 19" x 26" undated rerelease Yugoslavian poster for the 1936 Michael Curtiz film
    Charge of the Light Brigade
based on a poem by Alfred Lord Tennyson, story by Michael Jacoby, screenplay by Michael Jacoby and Roland Leigh and starring Errol Flynn as Major Geoffrey Vickers.  Plot summary: In 1854 in India during the Crimean War the garrison of the 27th Lancers is attacked and massacred by Surat Khan [C. Henry Gordon] while the regiment itself is out on maneuvers.  The victims are mostly women and children.  Major Geoffrey Vickers later takes personal vengeance against Surat Khan in a suicidal charge during the Battle of Balaclava (25 October 1854).  The making of the movie cost the lives of 25 horses killed or injured by trip wires installed by the film studio to make them fall during the charge. The poster is folded, excellent condition.  The poster in the picture is the one that will be sent to the buyer  Thanks for looking!
