Next up is this striking original Belgian movie poster from the first post-war rerelease of the Laurel & Hardy comedy,

Directed by James Parrott, this was the first feature length
motion picture to star Stan and Ollie.
The film is set during Prohibition and the boys get sent to prison for concocting and selling their own home brew. This poster is from the first re-release of the movie in Belgium after the end of WWII (probably late 1945 or 1946). It is printed on the reverse of an ordnance map which was standard practice at the time in order to conserve paper. Despite the condition issues, this poster displays very well and the artwork (unique to this Belgian poster) is generally unaffected. This poster rarely comes up for sale or auction and would make a wonderful addition to your Laurel and Hardy movie poster collection.

COUNTRY OF ORIGIN/SIZE: Belgium  15" x 22.5"
CONDITION:
Good Untrimmed Condition. There are many pinholes and small areas of paper loss in the white borders.  A few extra folds and some overall yellowing to the paper. Printed on the back of a war era map. Originally folded as issued, this poster has been stored flat for 15 years and will be shipped rolled in a sturdy tube.
