Here is an original Belgian movie poster from the 1st release of Michael Curtiz's film adaptation of the James M. Cain novel

. This was Joan Crawford's first starring film for Warner Bros. after leaving MGM and it won her an Oscar for Best Actress. This  poster is from the first release of the
movie in Belgium in 1947, shortly after the end of the war in Europe. It features beautiful artwork of Crawford and co-star Ann Blyth which is unique to this Belgian release poster. Another prime example of outstanding Belgian movie poster art.

COUNTRY OF ORIGIN/SIZE: Belgium  15" x 19.5" (on linen)
CONDITION:
Very Good Trimmed Condition On Linen. Prior to being backed on linen, this poster was folded and partially trimmed in the top white border which contained imprinted theater exhibition information. There are also two areas of slight staining in the bottom white border possibly from glue remaining from a former theater snipe. A small tear in the linen at the left border. Artwork is vivid and completely intact. This poster has been stored flat for the past 22 years and will be shipped rolled in a sturdy tube.
