    Here is a wonderful original Belgian movie poster from the 1st release of George Marshall's comic mystery film,
    The Ghost Breakers
    . This was Marshall's first attempt at adapting the original play by Paul Dickey and Charles Goddard into a movie. He would later film the story as
    Scared Stiff
    in 1953 starring Jerry Lewis, Dean Martin and Lizabeth Scott. This time around popular radio personality Bob Hope was enlisted to lend comic relief to a story of murder and mystery in a haunted castle off the coast of Cuba. This poster is from the first release of the
    movie in Belgium shortly after the end of the war in Europe (probably in 1947). It is printed on the reverse of an ordnance map which was common practice at the time in order to conserve paper immediately after WWII. It seldom comes up for sale or auction and the artwork is unique to this Belgian release poster. Another beautiful example of outstanding Belgian movie poster art.
