Next up is this stunning original Belgian movie poster from the 1940's release of the classic futuristic serial,
Flash Gordon,
starring Buster Crabbe, Jean Rogers and Charles Middleton as Ming The Merciless and directed by Frederick Stephani. Poster art by Bos. Although the original Saturday morning serial of this film was released in 1936 in the USA, it wasn't released in Europe until after the end of WWII, so this poster probably dates to 1946 or 1947 judging by the Universal-International logo strategically placed in the center of the artwork.

his poster is in very good condition after 70 years and the artwork is spectacular. Original Belgian artwork.  A classic poster of a classic film. Another copy of this rare poster recently sold at auction for 0. The one featured here appears to be in better condition. Please look at all condition issues in the photos.

COUNTRY OF ORIGIN/SIZE: Belgium  14.25" x 21.5"
CONDITION:  Very Good. Untrimmed. Top white border intact with an uneven cut in the upper left. Some overall yellowing. About a dozen pinholes around the white borders. There may have been a snipe attached to the top white border at one time because of some pale yellowish glue residue. Folded as originally issued but has been stored flat for nearly 16 years. This poster will be shipped rolled in a sturdy tube.
