This film takes place in a Danish village in the 17th century where women are routinely accused of witchcraft, tried and almost always found guilty, and burned at the stake. In this world, the young wife of an aging pastor falls in love with the pastor's son and is accused of witchcraft. The black and white film is visually striking, using light to create unique textures, shadows, and highlights. This original French poster is folded and in fine condition, with a minor tear near the top and another 2" tear at the bottom.
