Here is a beautiful original Belgian movie poster from the 1st release of Michael Curtiz's WWII flying ace adventure,
Captains Of The Clouds
. The film stars James Cagney and Dennis Morgan as Canadian pilots who do their part during the Second World War. Notable is the fact that this was the first feature-length Hollywood production filmed entirely in Canada. This poster is from the first release of the movie in Belgium in 1946 according to the dated tax stamp. It is printed on the reverse of an ordnance map which was common at the time in order to conserve paper. The striking artwork is unique to this Belgian release poster that seldom comes up for sale or auction.

CONDITION:
Very Good Trimmed, Folded Condition. Partially trimmed top white border. A few pinholes in the surrounding borders.  A dark smudge in lower right border. Printed on the back of a map. Two tax stamps affixed in upper left corner. Folded as originally issued, this poster has been stored flat for the past 17 years and will be shipped rolled in a sturdy tube.
